Kaden is Asleep

Tonight is the first night that Kaden has slept in his crib. I know, I know it is sad. He has been sleeping in the cradle next to my bed. I like having him right next to me. He was just getting way too big to sleep in that cradle. He didn't have any room to move.

I am sad though. This means that he is growing up and isn't an infant any more. I will never, ever have an infant again. This is very hard for me. I love my babies and I really don't want any more but it is still really hard.

I secretly wanted him is cry and not like the bed, but he never made a sound and has been sound asleep for over an hour. I guess that is what I get for having just a good, happy baby.

Connor's 1st Basketball Game

This morning we had Connor's first basketball game. They won 13-6 against a much bigger team. I really think that Connor is going to be a really good basketball player. He is a really good defensive player. That really surprises me, when he played soccer he wouldn't take the ball away from anyone. Today he did the most stealing!! I am very proud of him and I really look forward to going to the rest of his games. I think we have discovered that basketball and baseball are Connor's games. In contrast, I think that Jax will excel in football and soccer. I guess we will see!!!

His uniform was about 3 sizes too big. We got the smallest size possible but it was still way too big. He would be dribbling down the court and then have to pull his pants up and lose the ball. They also spelled his name wrong. That really bothers me so we are having them fix it!

He didn't score any points though because every time he got the ball, he passed it. He told me that he didn't shoot because he was afraid that he would miss and let his team down. That just broke my heart.

Six Flags

We had a BLAST at Six Flags on Sunday. It was very crowded but we still had a great time. We also had awesome weather.

Connor was a real thrill seeker. He rode a lot more rides than I thought that we would and wasn't even scared. One of the first "scary" rides we rode was the Conquistador. I assumed we would ride in the middle because that part doesn't go so high, but no Connor wanted to ride at the top of the boat. So he and the rest of the crew rode up there while Jax and I sat in the middle facing Connor. As the boat started to pick up speed, I started doubting myself as a parent. I couldn't believe that I let me little boy ride at the top of this big boat and I could see him falling out and flying at me in my imagination. I started freaking out a little....but then I started watching Connor and he was having a blast and wasn't scared at all. He rode the Judge Roy Scream and absolutely loved it, that was his favorite ride. The biggest ride that he could ride was the Shock Wave, you know the one with TWO loops. He kept saying he wanted to ride it, Brock kept saying no but at the end Connor and I rode it. Again I questioned myself as a mother. How could I let me little boy on this scary ride? He didn't like this one so much, it really scared him, but he never cried.

We stayed at Six Flags from1 until 10. We didn't expect to stay that late, but as it got dark and colder, everyone left and rode a lot more rides. Jaxson didn't feel good the whole day and wanted me to hold him. So I walked around most of Six Flags holding an extra 35 pounds. Kaden stayed with my mom.

We had a great time and can't wait to go back!!!
