Is it possible to know less with each child??? It is so funny, when talking with friends, most of the time they expect me to know more because I have 4 kids. Some how it is completely opposite. I feel like I know less.

With Connor, he was sleeping in his bed, in his room on the first night home from the hospital. Jaxson slept in a cradle next to me on the couch. I was on the couch because I was so sore from the c-section that I couldn't get up into my bed. With Kaden, he slept in my arms on the couch for weeks! I had this irrational fear that if I feel asleep and was not holding him that he would die. After several weeks of that, he slept in the cradle next to me. He stayed in the cradle until he was much to big for it. I don't think that he went into his crib until he was 6 months old. With Halle, I had those same fears, just worse. I go to her room and look at all of her beautiful clothes and I have this overwhelming fear that I won't get to see her wear them. I know that it stems from me wanting a little girl so bad for so long and not thinking that I was going to get one. Anyways, she has slept in the bed with Brock and I since right before I went back to work. Last night Brock made me put her in her cradle. I had a really hard time with it though. I will try to keep doing it. I know it is best for all of us. That is the thing, I know that and have always known that. My mom always said not to let kids sleep in your bed. It's just funny to me because usually it would be the reverse...by the 4th kid you just throw them in the bed on the first night, right?

Anyways, I think it is funny because I feel like a first time mom these days, maybe it is just because she is a girl. I am really trying to go by the book this time. Doctors say not to give them cereal or food for the 1st 4-6 months. With the boys, they had it really early. I have not started it with Halle and she is 13 weeks old. I tried it once, but it didn't go over well. Doctors also say back to sleep. None of the boys slept on their back, they always slept on their tummies. Halle is always on her back. Again, it seems like you would go by the book on the 1st babies and running your own show on the 4th, right?

2nd Week of Summer!!!!!

Sunday was a busy day. I had two baby showers to go to. One of them was for a good friend of mine's daughter and the other was for a friend from church. I took Halle with me and Brock took the boys swimming at mom's house. I had a lot of fun showing Halle off and everyone thought she was adorable. I believe she wore three different, super cute outfits that day. Brock took the boys swimming and the Perkins went with them. I think that they all had a ton of fun. The boys love it when Brock goes swimming because we usually go during the week while he is working.

On Monday, we met a friend of mine at Harry Myers to play at the sprinkler park. The boys had fun. The fun didn't last very long for Connor, I think he is growing out of the sprinkler park. Jax had a great time though. Kaden walked around the water for most of the time that we were there, but at the end he was having a great time...of course then it was time to go!

Of course, Halle was there and looked cute as usual!

On Tuesday, we went over to the Perkins for dinner. Each week we take turns cooking dinner for each other. It is wonderful to know that you don't have to cook dinner at least one night a week. On Wednesday, I went to a professional development. It was a lot of fun and I several of my friends were there. Thursday we cooked dinner for the Perkins and the kids played for quite awhile. Today we went swimming at my mom's house. We had a lot of fun. Sorry no pictures. I had three boys crawling all over me and didn't get a chance to take any. Mom watched Halle while we played in the pool. I was so impressed by the boys. Connor was diving under water to get things at the bottom of the pool and swimming like a fish. Jaxson swam the whole time without floaties, which has never happened! We was doing really well! Kaden finally got the hang of his water suit. We don't have anything planned for the weekend. We'll see what happens!

The First Week of Summer and Swimming Lessons

I am a bit sad that we are one week down because I know that the summer goes by so fast. Usually it is over and I wonder where all the time went. I am hoping to be able to keep up with my blog this summer. We'll see how that goes.

First let me add a picture of Halle from Sunday. I caught her first smile on camera. She is so beautiful.

Connor and Jaxson had swimming lessons this week with Laura Wade. She is wonderful. This was their second time to take lessons with Mrs. Laura.

Jaxson went first each day. Jaxson had lessons with his good friends Camryn and Maddie. They all did great. Jaxson is not afraid of the water at all or putting his head under, but during lessons he didn't always want to do it. The last two days we had to talk him into jumping in, but normally he loves to jump in and go underwater.

Connor got to take lessons with his good friend Caroline and two friends from church, Austin and Justin. He already knew how to swim from last year's lessons but this year they were working on developing his strokes and diving off the diving board. He did really well!

The challenge of the week was to keep Kaden and Halle happy for the hour we were there. Halle slept a lot of the time and they had plenty of toys for Kaden to play with. Here is a pic of Halle in her shades.

Also, I put Halle in a super cute outfit for church Wednesday night. Brock said she looked like a clown, so Jaxson started calling her clown girl. I thought she looked adorable and so did everyone at church. This is just another reason why Brock has no authority on Halle's clothing!

Kaden and Halle

So, until now Kaden has not had too much to do with his little sister. Now he loves to sit by her and play with her. Before bed, he is sure to give her a hug and kiss. It warms my heart every single time.

The End of School

The last week of school was crazy. I ended up leaving school the Friday before with a horrible gall bladder attack. Thankfully Brock was at the school watching Connor's Dad Day program. Which was wonderful by the way! Anyways, he took me to the hospital and they ended up admitting me and taking out my gall bladder Saturday morning. I went home on Saturday evening. I had every intention of going to school Monday morning, but my friends and school took care of me and I stayed home Monday to give me a little extra time to recover. They tried to keep me home on Tuesday, but I went any way. So I was not a 100% but I got through the week. I am so happy because this is the first year that I do not have to move my classroom!

Connor finished his 1st grade year. He had an amazing year and a wonderful teacher. I can only hope that he continues to have great teachers. He has been blessed the last two years! Here is a picture of Connor and his teacher, Mrs. Basel receiving his awards.
