The Last Week...

So, I have been without the internet for over a week!! My household can not do without the internet. It really is sad! Anyways, here is what the boys have been up to...

Jaime asked us to come over and play in the sprinkler, so I took just a few pictures.

Kaden loves Simba and Simba loves Kaden just as much. He always let's Kaden lay on him but I am never quiet enough to get a picture before they move. It was so cute...Kaden laid down next to him, Simba looked at him and then laid his head down also...

"All I want is my two front teeth...". Connor lost the other front tooth.

This is hilarious!!! Connor saw on some cartoon where a character's underwear or pants got caught on something and couldn't move. So, he decided he would try it...

Once he got up there, the chair moved and he couldn't get down. His underwear was digging into his leg and he was screaming for me to help him down. I was laughing so hard that I had a hard time getting him down.

So, this week I am teaching RACE in the mornings and Connor begins football practice tonight.

Kaden is one year old…

So the day that I dreaded is here and gone. Kaden turned one today. We had his party yesterday. My baby is not a baby any more. I don’t know where the time went. I feel like I was in the hospital last month giving birth.

Kaden is such a sweet little boy and I just can’t believe that he is so old. He is walking and drinking out of a cup. He will be going to Mother’s Day Out 4 days a week starting in September. How can I stop time? I want to pause everything. I want to slow this down.

I am really struggling with this. I don’t want my little boys to grow up, but also I don’t want to close this chapter of my life. We’re not going to have any more kids and it is so hard knowing that part of my life is over. I will never get to hold my newborn baby in my arms and on my stomach and wonder how in the world he fit in there! I had a hard time at the hospital with Chris and McKenlie because I thought, “Wow, I’ll never do this again”. I looked at that sweet baby girl and thought, “I’ll never have another one of those again”. I went to a baby shower today and remembered the feeling of excitement knowing that soon I was going to see the alien growing in me.

The weird thing is that I don’t want to have another baby. I can’t afford another one and I don’t have the time and energy to have another one…but I still feel sad. So, I guess if I had 10 children I would still feel this way after the 10th.

I guess part of my problem is that I feel like everything is going so fast and I can’t slow it down. Brock keeps saying that Connor is 1/3 of the way to college!!! Are you kidding me? I don’t want to hear that! That really scares me!!

Anyways, we had a really good day and then we went to the Barineau’s this evening for dinner and fellowship. We had a good time with the Barineau’s and the Perkins’. They are some of the best friends we could ever ask for!

Moral of the story is…cherish your families every day because life goes by TOO fast!!!

Kaden’s Birthday Party

Kaden’s 1st birthday party went great!!! He had a wonderful time and loved all of his presents. We had all of our family and close friends over to celebrate with Kaden. We missed Papa, Aunt Chris and McKenlie because they were still in the hospital and Uncle Beau and Amanda were still on vacation. Uncle Blake was in summer school and the Barineau’s were still in Florida…but other than that all of his favorite people were there.

This was his invitation.

We ate pizza for lunch and Kaden ate a whole piece!!! Then we began opening presents. Kaden got a Bounce and Spin Zebra, a ride-on firetruck, a dumptruck, books, bath toys and clothes. Connor and Jaxson enjoyed playing with his toys as much as Kaden did.

Then Kaden dug into his cake. Kaden doesn’t like to be dirty, so he didn’t like the icing on his hands after he stuck them in the cake. He ended up with icing all over his face and then I would lift the cake to his face and he would take a bite. He did really well.

(I will put a picture later...I have to get one. I was busy with Kaden and couldn't take any pictures)

After that we served cake to everyone else and then just visited with our friends and family. It was great to see everyone and have so many people that we love in the same place.

Kaden is a very lucky boy to have such a great family and have such great friends surrounding him! God has really blessed us!

McKenlie Brooke Jackson

My 4th precious niece, McKenlie Brooke, was born yesterday.

McKenlie was born yesterday around 6. She weighed 9 lbs 9 oz and was 21 1/2 in. Big baby and she was 5 weeks early!!! Can you imagine if she would of waited 5 more weeks?

I haven't gotten to see her yet because they took her to the NICU because her blood sugar was really low. They planned to only keep her overnight, but this morning they were still trying to regulate her heart rate and sugars. I can't wait to hold that sweet baby in my arms.

Please pray that McKenlie will get everything regulated and get out of the NICU soon. hope that she is able to go home on Sunday with her mommy as planned.

McKenlie is my 4th niece, I have no nephews but 3 sons. I honestly think that I am the only one in the family that produces boys. We'll see what Beau and Amanda produce!

4th of July

We had a great day. It started off wonderfully! My parents kept the boys last night so that Brock and I could go to a movie. We slept until 10:30!!! I can't remember the last time I slept that late! We got up and then went to get the boys. We got there and then took the boys swimming. We had a great time in the pool.

We left there and then came home to rest before all the fun began. Can you believe that we got in another nap??

Brock told Connor a couple of weeks ago that he would let Connor have a mohawk and color it red, white, and blue for the 4th of July. So....

Connor loved it!!! We tried to color Jax's hair also, but he decided that he didn't want it. We went to our church to watch the fireworks. We had a great time! We had a catered bar-b-q dinner and then the bounce houses. The boys had a blast!!

It was really hot, but not unbearable. The boys loved it for most of the time Kaden just roamed around! But what he really liked, was his sno-cone.

We were worried about how Kaden would do during the fireworks because last time he didn't like the noise. Last weekend we went to Brock's parent's house and did fireworks from their house. Kaden did not like the sound at all and I spent the night in the house. This time it wasn't so loud so he did a lot better.

Now we are just hoping that they sleep in tomorrow morning!
