Brock says home the next day with all three. The boys all seemed fine, but Brock got sick and was dealing with that and the kids all day. I get home and take care of the kids. They seem fine and mom is feeling better so I figure that I am fine to go to school. I start feeling bad, so I go to bed at 9 trying to prevent myself from throwing up because I was having the other symptoms. At about midnight Connor wakes me up and tells me his tummy hurts. I start to get him situated on a pallet in our room when he runs to the bathroom to throw up. So I get him cleaned up and get on the net to set up my sub and write my sub plans. Connor throws up about 3 or 4 times in the night but wakes up at 7:30 feeling fine and ready for school. I asked Brock to take the little guys to mom's house because I wasn't feeling well and knew that I couldn't sleep with them here. I go back to sleep and don't wake back up until 12:30, go back to sleep and wake up at 1:30...I didn't get out of bed until after 3!! Poor Connor had to take care of himself on Friday. I got up at 3 and took a shower. I felt great after sleeping all day and the rest of the fam seemed fine.
I was feeding Kaden at like 7 and he throws up EVERYWHERE...about 9 Jax throws up EVERYWHERE!!! I thought we were done with this!!! So the rest of the night goes fine, I stay up until 3 AM to make sure everyone is fine. Saturday we wake up and Jax's neck is swollen and so are his tonsils. I take him to CareNow and they give him some antibiotics.
When will this ever end.................................

Sick Kiddos
Connor and Kaden are both sick.
Yesterday, when Brock picked Kaden and Jaxson up, mom told him that Kaden had really bad diarrhea. Once home, Kaden was a little more mellow and cuddly, but no diarrhea. Connor complained a few times about a sore throat. We knew that we would probably have to take him to the doctor because he gets strep all the time.
This morning I asked Connor about his throat, he said that it didn't hurt. I called mom to check on Kaden and she said that he seemed fine but wasn't eating much. Later in the day, I decided that he probably didn't tell me the truth because he hates to go to the doctor. He is totally scared of shots.
So I send Connor to the nurse and she calls to tell me that his tonsils are huge and his temp is 99. I call and get him an appointment and then call to check on Kaden. I decided that maybe he isn't eating because his throat hurts, so I get an appointment for both.
I get to mom's to pick the boys up and Kaden is sleeping on mom. I go to the back to get Jax and mom starts yelling. Kaden has thrown up all over. He also started with the diahrrea diapers again and messed every outfit she had for him. So, I clean him up and then he drops another load!!!!
I clean that up and get to the doctor's office...another load!!!!
Long story short, after two hours in the doc's office...Connor has strep and Kaden has a bacterial thing. So, Connor gets a shot...it takes three people to hold him down!!
I keep saying this, but I will NEVER take all three of them to the doctor by myself again!!!
On a side note, Connor weighs 40 lbs and Jax is 2 lbs behind at 38 lbs. Kaden weighs 20 lbs.

March

Me...We are on the last 9 weeks of the year! This last stretch of the year is often difficult because we are all ready to be done with school and need a break. Unfortunately, we don't get a break until the end of May. I am working hard at school stuff and maybe my life will be more eventful after school gets out.
Brock...Nothing much is going on. He is working hard and can't wait until football starts again.
Connor...He is doing great in school! He is so smart and loves his class. He recently finished basketball, and was a pretty good little defensive player. He decided to not play t-ball and wait until he can play coach pitch next year. He can't wait until summer!! He is ready to swim.

Kaden is Asleep
Tonight is the first night that Kaden has slept in his crib. I know, I know it is sad. He has been sleeping in the cradle next to my bed. I like having him right next to me. He was just getting way too big to sleep in that cradle. He didn't have any room to move.
I am sad though. This means that he is growing up and isn't an infant any more. I will never, ever have an infant again. This is very hard for me. I love my babies and I really don't want any more but it is still really hard.
I secretly wanted him is cry and not like the bed, but he never made a sound and has been sound asleep for over an hour. I guess that is what I get for having just a good, happy baby.

Connor's 1st Basketball Game
This morning we had Connor's first basketball game. They won 13-6 against a much bigger team. I really think that Connor is going to be a really good basketball player. He is a really good defensive player. That really surprises me, when he played soccer he wouldn't take the ball away from anyone. Today he did the most stealing!! I am very proud of him and I really look forward to going to the rest of his games. I think we have discovered that basketball and baseball are Connor's games. In contrast, I think that Jax will excel in football and soccer. I guess we will see!!!
His uniform was about 3 sizes too big. We got the smallest size possible but it was still way too big. He would be dribbling down the court and then have to pull his pants up and lose the ball. They also spelled his name wrong. That really bothers me so we are having them fix it!
He didn't score any points though because every time he got the ball, he passed it. He told me that he didn't shoot because he was afraid that he would miss and let his team down. That just broke my heart.

Six Flags
We had a BLAST at Six Flags on Sunday. It was very crowded but we still had a great time. We also had awesome weather.
Connor was a real thrill seeker. He rode a lot more rides than I thought that we would and wasn't even scared. One of the first "scary" rides we rode was the Conquistador. I assumed we would ride in the middle because that part doesn't go so high, but no Connor wanted to ride at the top of the boat. So he and the rest of the crew rode up there while Jax and I sat in the middle facing Connor. As the boat started to pick up speed, I started doubting myself as a parent. I couldn't believe that I let me little boy ride at the top of this big boat and I could see him falling out and flying at me in my imagination. I started freaking out a little....but then I started watching Connor and he was having a blast and wasn't scared at all. He rode the Judge Roy Scream and absolutely loved it, that was his favorite ride. The biggest ride that he could ride was the Shock Wave, you know the one with TWO loops. He kept saying he wanted to ride it, Brock kept saying no but at the end Connor and I rode it. Again I questioned myself as a mother. How could I let me little boy on this scary ride? He didn't like this one so much, it really scared him, but he never cried.
We stayed at Six Flags from1 until 10. We didn't expect to stay that late, but as it got dark and colder, everyone left and rode a lot more rides. Jaxson didn't feel good the whole day and wanted me to hold him. So I walked around most of Six Flags holding an extra 35 pounds. Kaden stayed with my mom.

Christmas is over :(

So, it is all over....We had a great Christmas! Now we just have to get our house back in order after several days of Christmas. The boys opened presents at 4 different houses. They have more presents than they'll ever need and had a ton of fun. Connor got an MP3 player, electric guitar and much more. Jax got every Diego toy available. Kaden got all kinds of rattles and things that light up! Connor and Jax got scooters and have been rollin around the house nonstop. I'm always sad when Christmas is over b/c it seems like it will be forever before it comes around again, but wow this year went by SO fast!!! We aren't doing much this weekend except going to Holiday in the Park on Sunday. That should be alot of fun and the weather is supposed to be really nice!
