It's Finally A Girl!!!!

I can not believe it! I was completely prepared to have another sweet, wonderful little boy. I am still in shock!!! I don't know if I believe it! I keep looking at the sonogram and making sure that a "male part" doesn't pop out!

In response to all of the questions I keep on getting.

I do not have a girl name picked out, but I know that it will be something extremely girlie!!!

I don't know how I will decorate her room, but it will VERY pink.

You will NEVER see my daughter without a bow on her head and she will probably not wear pants for the first 10 or so years of her life! lol

Yes, I gladly accept any pink hand-me downs!!!

Hays Husky Fun Run

Saturday, we had our school fundraiser. It was a 5K and a 1 mile walk/run. It was a blast. We met our school fundraising goal and the community had a lot of fun! Blake P. came and supported Connor in running the 5K. We really appreciate his support and friendship! I was completely impressed with Connor. He ran the 1 mile in less than ten minutes. I didn't expect him to take it so seriously.

He and the 4th grade students got much pleasure out of watching me get a pie in the face! My class raised the most money for in 4th grade so one of the kids got to throw a pie in my face. So not fair since last year the winning class got to go to lunch in a limo, but oh well...it was all in good fun.

We can't wait until next year!

Staff Kids Trick or Treat

We have a great school with AMAZING teachers. Since we have such a great school, the teachers bring their kids to school here. We have about 35-40 staff kids!!! That is a lot of kids!

Yesterday, we had a trick or treat time after school for the staff kids. The kids were so excited to get an extra chance to wear their costumes and get more candy.

Connor Met a Celebrity!!!

I am so late in posting this, but about a month ago Connor got to meet Jason Castro. He is a big celebrity around here since he is from Rockwall. He came to our school to speak to an after school guitar club. The kids were so surprised!! He was very nice, sang parts of about 4 songs and signed a hundred autographs. It was a big day for Hays Elementary.

Connor's Birthday Party

Last night we had Connor's birthday party. He had some of his best friends, Colby, Lyle and Preslie go with us. We went to a new place in Mesquite called Incredible Pizza. It was so much fun! The place really reminded Brock and I of a place they would have at Disney World. They had 3 dining rooms, a gymnasium, a movie theater, and a diner. We ate in the movie theater. The food was really good, pizza, baked potatoes, pasta, salad, and more.

After dinner, we armed the kids with "credit cards" and they were off to play. The Fair Grounds had bumper cars, go-carts, putt-putt, bowling and arcade games. After a few hours of playing, we hurded back into the car and drove home. We opened Connor's presents and ate cake. The kids ran wild for a little while, then it was time for Preslie to go home. So, we took her home and of course we had to play there for awhile. Then back home! The boys were so good!

I think all of the kids had a good time and Connor had the best birthday party of his life!

Connor's 1st Coach-Pitch Baseball Game

We enjoyed his game so much! My grandparents were still in town, so they even got to come. I don't get to watch too much of the game because Kaden is pretty active, but I loved watching him in action.

The first time up to bat, he struck out but that was okay. He made up for it. The next time he got up to bat, he got what I think is called a RBI...one of his friends got to homebase off of his hit...is that an RBI????

Then he almost got a homerun...he got all the way to third base. With the next batter he got all the way in and got a point...I believe he also got another RBI at that bat...

Again, I didn't get to see much, but I was impressed with what I did see!

Connor's 7th Birthday!!!

Connor got so lucky this year! My parent's 30th anniversary was this year and it just happens to fall a couple of days before Connor's birthday. So we had a party for them and surprised them with their parents. The party was on Saturday and Sunday was Connor's birthday. We had quite a group meet us at Connor's favorite restaurant, Snuffer's, for lunch after church.

He was so excited to see so many people gathered together for his birthday! That evening my whole family met at Beau's house for dinner. The boys had a great time and it was wonderful to spend so much time with my grandparents and cousin that I never get to see.

It is very important to me for my grandfather to play and know Kaden since he is his name sake. Kaden's middle name is Samuel, like PeePaw. When he is in town, Kaden becomes Sammy. I love my grandfather and wish that I could spend more time with him.

Be thankful if you live close to your grandparents, I miss them everyday.

Happy Birthday Connor! I hope you had a GREAT day! I love you!
