Halle - 5 Weeks
Halle turned 5 weeks old yesterday! I have figured out that the only good thing about having a c-section is that it gives me to extra weeks off before I have to go back to work. I really don't want to go back, but at least I only have 3 weeks before summer break when I do get back.
Miss Halle is still wonderful. She is sleeping great. She sleeps for 4-6 hours before waking at night. Even when she wakes up to eat, she eats and goes right back to sleep. She never spits up either, but the girl can eat. She is taking up to 6 ounces at some feedings! I think that is a little much, but oh well.
I don't know how much she weighs or how long she is at this point, but she seems to have grown in length quite a bit. She seems really long to me. She is finally fitting in 0-3 month clothing! YEA! She still doesn't fit in the pretty dresses I want her to, but it will come.
I am so blessed and lucky to have this little girl! God is good!

Jax's 4th Birthday Party
Yesterday was Jax's birthday party! He loves Chuck E Cheese's and so that as the only place he wanted his party. He had his best friends there, Kennedie, Maddie, and Camryn along with some of our families.
All of the kids had a great time. Halle slept the whole time, we never even took her out of her carrier.
Halle - 4 Weeks Old
Since I am so behind on my scrapbooking, I decided to try to keep the blog updated so that I will have it when I start her book...which I am really excited about. I've had to use trucks and blues and browns with the boys and now I finally get to use pink and purple!!!!
Anyways, Monday Halle was 4 weeks old! She is still a wonderful baby! She sleeps really wonderfully at night. She usually goes down for the night around midnight and sleeps until 6, gets up, drinks a bottle and back to sleep. Even before midnight she is asleep, I just haven't gone to bed yet.
She is awake for quite awhile during the day but so content. god has blessed me so with my babies. I have had 4 awesome babies. She is so content and happy! I am one lucky momma!

Halle Marie Callaway
I have not updated this blog in so long! So, now I have to catch up on the last two weeks of Halle's life and the boys as well.
On 3/23/09, I went in to have my first and only little girl, Halle Marie Callaway. I was terrified, as most of you know, I HATE c-sections and they scare me to death, but it wasn't too bad. What I got out of the c-section was worth it all!!! Halle was 8 lbs and 3 oz; 20 3/4 in. She was the smallest of my children, but everyone at the hospital kept talking about how big she was.
She is a precious baby. She is perfect and a wonderful baby. I couldn't ask for more! The doctor said that she is the first baby she has ever seen that gained weight in the hospital. She had gained 3 oz. I had to stay in the hospital from Monday until Thursday. It was difficult being away from the boys that long, but they came to visit me every day. Everything has gone really well except for breastfeeding, but that never works well for me. I am still trying though.
The first few days at home were really good but I was also really sore. It was hard for Kaden to understand why he couldn't climb on me like he usually does. He has thrown a few extra fits here and there, but has done really well adjusting to not being the baby in the house. Connor and Jaxson are wonderful with her. They fight over who gets to hold her next! Jaxson calls her his little princess!
On Tuesday, I had to take her back to the hospital to check for Jaundice, although she never got it. I am a little confused about that, but just happy that she didn't get it. The doctor said she looked wonderful. She had lost weight and weighed 7 lb 13 oz, but was now 21 in long.
She sleeps really well at night and since the boys are at school or MDO during the day, we have been able to sleep in and just hang out. We are so blessed because we have had some great friends bring us some wonderful meals!
On Monday, when she was exactly two weeks old, I took her back to the doctor for her newborn screening. Again the doctor said that she looks wonderful. She now weighs 8 lb 6 oz and is 21 3/4 in. WOW!! She is an inch longer in just two weeks. I did cry a bit because that just means that she is growing and soon I will no longer have a newborn. She is DEFINITELY my last. I know, I know I have said that before, but we have taken care of that now and God will really have to intervene if he wants us to have another! I can't imagine!
As much as I don't want her to grow, I would love for her to be able to fit in her clothes. I have a closet full of clothes that she can not fit into. We are wearing the same newborn outfits over and over. I don't think any of the boys wore newborn clothes for more than a week if at all.
